"Grannus" was an ancient Celtic God that was associated with healing. These 'stones' are wheel thrown, closed forms. They are burnished several times with a river rock, then fired in an electric kiln to 1900 degrees F. The choice is made to leave the stone with its natural color, or to torch seaweed directly on the surface leaving the smokey stone like appearance, or to use Ferric Chloride creating different shades of pink on the surface. These 'Stones' are meant to be held to receive the healing powers from "Grannus".
